Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy (CRDS) works by attuning light rays to the unique molecular fingerprint of the sample species. By measuring the time, it takes the light to fade or “ring-down”, you receive an accurate molecular count in milliseconds. The time of light decay, in essence, provides an exact, non-invasive, and rapid means to detect contaminants in the air, in gases, and even in the breath.
MOREThe 980nm pump needs three energy level for radiation while 1480nm pumps can excite the ions directly to the metastable level .
MORELight from the light source is split into the reference beam and the central beam. Back reflected light from both arms is combined again and recorded by the detector. To record one depth profile of the sample (A-scan) the reference arm needs to be scanned. This has to be repeated for each lateral scan position.
MORELD-PD INC is working in four areas of optical absorption spectroscopy. Most optical sensors and analyzers rely on absorption spectroscopy that is often expressed using the Beer-Lamber Law that describes the loss of intensity as a light beam passes through an absorbing sample.
MOREth a full-featured front panel keypad and backlit LCD display, the console is capable of acting as a stand-alone, real-time polarimeter. For greater flexibility and more powerful features, included PC software can acquire data directly from the console for further analysis. The easy-to-use, real-time graphical interface makes operation simple right out of the box. Powerful graphical displ...
MOREThe multiple-pass optical cell is an important tool for laser absorption spectroscopy(TDLAS)and its many applications. For most practical applications, such astrace-gas detection, a compact and robust design is es-sential. Here LD-PD INC multi-passcell design based on a pair of cylindrical mirrors, witha particular focus on achieving very long optical paths. We demonstrate a path-length of...
