LiNbO₃ Intensity Modulator

LD-PD's LiNbO₃ Intensity Modulator is a high-speed, low-chirp electro-optic device engineered for precision optical intensity control in advanced photonic systems. Manufactured via Annealed Proton Exchange (APE) or thin-film LiNbO₃ (LNOI) processes on premium lithium niobate crystal, it delivers outstanding electro-optic performance, low insertion loss, and exceptional long-term reliability. Utilizing the Pockels effect in a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) configuration, it offers high extinction ratio (>20 dB), low half-wave voltage (Vπ ≤3.5 V), and ultra-broad bandwidth up to 110 GHz. The device features polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber pigtails (FC/APC optional) with low backreflection (≤-27 dB), ensuring stable single-polarization operation. Its compact, hermetically sealed package integrates SMA RF connectors and bias control pins, supporting straightforward system integration and robust performance across 0–70 °. Designed for 1260–1625 nm wavelengths, this modulator is ideal for high-speed coherent communications, microwave photonics, fiber-optic sensing, and optical signal processing. With low driving voltage, minimal chirp, and excellent bias stability, it meets the demands of 10G–1.6Tbps optical networks and high-precision scientific applications, providing a reliable, high-efficiency solution for modern photonic systems.
