LPLD-FP-8.5-1W-HHL is a single-transverse-mode, multi-longitudinal-mode quantum cascade laser (QCL) product that can operate under continuous wave (CW) mode at room temperature (25℃), with an output laser power of over 1W and a central wavelength of 8.5 ± 0.3 μm. It adopts the HHL package, integrated with a collimating lens, a negative temperature coefficient thermistor (NTC-10k), and a thermoelectric cooler (TEC). The laser is hermetically sealed with dry nitrogen, and its optical output window is an uncoated barium fluoride (BaF₂) window.

1.Before use, ensure the QCL is securely fastened to a heat-dissipating workbench, and apply an appropriate amount of thermal grease between the QCL and the heat sink.
2.During use, confirm the wiring is correct; additionally, ensure there is no short circuit between the pins and no exposed metal at the wiring connections.
Precautions
1. During storage and use, ensure anti-static protection measures are strictly implemented.
2. Invisible high-power collimated laser beams may cause permanent damage to the human body. Strict protection measures must be taken during the laser beam collimation process, and awareness of protection should be strengthened.
3. The QCL is driven by a DC current source. The current must not exceed 1.70 A; exceeding this value may reduce the service life or even burn out the QCL.
4. Some current sources are not equipped with surge protection. Please disconnect the QCL during the power-on and power-off processes.
